Lianne's perspective... Monday!
And we didn't go snow tubing because of me, which meant that Kami and Jeff didn't do any snow sports over the weekend. Bah. I'd wanted to race Kami again, too, since she won every race last year. :> And maybe see the deer that like to hang out at the top of the tubing hill. They're so neat -- they'll eat out of people's hands. But we just packed up and headed down the mountain. Marie and Ran convoyed with us to make sure everything would be okay, which it was. We stopped at Mean Gene's for lunch... it's such a silly place, though they have a delicious beef-tip sandwich. And... I was home! =)
We had to pack up and leave in the morning. I'd moved upstairs around 6:00am and managed to get bathed and packed without any help. Derek did a quick ski run, since it had been too late to turn in his skis the night before after all the commotion. I got the kitchen mostly packed up before I was finally made to settle down and sit and let other people do things. I was having a hard time with that -- I've never been one to feel comfortable with others taking care of me or doing things for me that I can do for myself. What bugged me the most was not being able to go around as we were leaving to make sure we'd gotten everything. But Marie took care of the paperwork at first aid and Diana helped carry my bags and Derek loaded the car... and so I just fidgeted. :>
I did -- and do -- appreciate all the help, it's just hard to adjust to (but while Derek would certainly argue the point, I think I'm doing better at it).
I napped most of the way back, though, so it's kind of a blur. Ran made it back to his place and then Marie got her car to join us for the next excursion: getting me home. So there was another convoy with Derek driving my car and Marie following. Diana came along, too, so she could meet Quinn before leaving for Japan. He was more interested in food than her, but I'm glad she got to see him.
